How We Rate
We've created a highly unscientific and subjective rating scale that is informed only by what we like about sourdough and sourdough culture. Breads are rated based on the following five criteria. Each criteria will be rated on a scale of 1 - 5 "dough balls" and a total rating will be an average of those six individual scores.

Terrible. Like that sourdough loaf you once tried in a 7-11. You didn't swallow it.
Awful. If you were on desert island with no food, you still might not eat it.
Passable. A decent loaf from a large, chain grocery store.
Great. You'd go back time and time again for it.
Extraordinary. You'd call your mom to tell her but you can't stop eating.
